Women’s Health

Get high quality reproductive and sexual health care from our team of women’s health experts.

Our gynecological and obstetric specialists provide treatment for a range of health conditions and pregnancy needs. We see patients who need prenatal visits, ultrasounds, fetal testing, and more at our offices at 147 Allen Street, across the street from the hospital. We also offer gynecological care for people with conditions such as:

  • Bleeding after menopause
  • Heavy menstrual flow
  • Possible miscarriage
  • Ectopic pregnancy
  • Birth control issues

Depending on your problem, we may be able to see you for same day or immediate care. We also offer telehealth for services that don’t require an in-office visit, as well as wellness coaching and counseling.

Rutland Women’s Healthcare provides these services Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm

Women’s Health Services

At our women’s health clinic, we provide a team of board certified experts including gynecologists, obstetricians, and specially trained nurses, all in one location. Our services include:

  • Gynecological care – for every stage of life, from teenage years to menopause and beyond.
  • Pregnancy and Birth Care – comprehensive services before, during, and after pregnancy in a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Gynecological oncology services – care for women with ovarian, uterine, cervical, or other gynecological cancers in partnership with Rutland Regional’s Foley Cancer Center and The University of Vermont Medical Center.
  • Surgery – our highly trained surgeons perform advanced minimally invasive surgeries for pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and more.

Convenient Health Screenings

Rutland Regional makes it easy for you to schedule a bone density test at the same time as a mammogram. Both tests are available five days per week and are performed during one appointment by the same technician. Call 802.747.1880 to make an appointment. Mammography appointments can be made directly by the patient, while bone density testing requires a doctor′s order.

Bone Density Testing

This test is performed in the hospital by Diagnostic Imaging. It is especially important for women over 50, or past menopause, to keep track of their bone health and prevent, diagnose or manage osteoporosis.
